November 2021 – Update on Webstable Soup

For the next year, beginning today, November 1, 2021, I am promoting my favorite charity through Webstable Soup.  I will introduce you to The Sudan Project (TSP), and its Director, Barry Smith, a long-time friend of our family. First, you will have access to my new website, https://webstablesoup.com, as well as TSP’s website. Be sure to sign up for their newsletter.

I have a new digital book entitled, of course… Webstable Soup!  It will be free to anyone who wants it.  I’m hoping it will be an encouragement for you to make a donation to The Sudan Project.  But even if you can’t make a donation, it is still free.  A plethora of spiritual nourishment!

Almost everyone has a favorite charity these days. There are so many from which to choose!  Beginning with churches, of course, and sponsored good works, hospitals, health and well-being, animal rescues, missions, homeless, food, water, and so many other worthy efforts that need our money, if we have a little bit left over that has been designated for donations. Those are all over the world!

This one is mine; this one is The Sudan Project.  Please remember in prayer Barry and these Sudanese Christians who are teaching their people about Jesus.

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” (the Apostle Paul to Timothy the Evangelist; 2 Timothy 2:2)

This work is sponsored by the Foote Street Church of Christ in Corinth, Mississippi. The director of the work is Barry Smith from the Madison (AL) Church of Christ, who also directs Uganda Christian Bible College for Foote Street, and World Mission Africa for the Madison church.

Currently the work cannot be carried out in the country of South Sudan on the campus of South Sudan Bible School due to violence and civil war, so most of the training is being done on the campus of Uganda Christian Bible College, a sister school a few hours from South Sudan, and within the refugee camps in Uganda and Kenya.

Please remember Barry and the other Christians in Sudan and the Uganda Cristian Bible College in prayer.  God bless!
