HAPPY NEW YEAR!

PERFECTIONIST

Thomas – John 20:24 – 29

Martha – Luke 10:38-42; John 11; 12:2

THOROUGH AND PRECISE PLANNERS

These people thrive on order, pre-determined methods, tradition and conflict-free atmospheres with ample opportunity for careful planning and without sudden changes.  They prefer to adapt to situations to avoid conflict and antagonism.

Their need for self-preservation causes them to document everything they do and try to do whatever others want them to do.  They are naturally cautious and attentive to detail, and they prefer to wait and see which way the wind is blowing, but once their minds are made up, they can be very strict about adhering to procedures.

They need to know exactly what is expected of them so that they can do it thoroughly and well.  They are particularly good with projects requiring precision, organization, and planning.

AS SEEN BY OTHERS

Perfectionists are seen as conservative, reserved, logical, reflective, and conscientious.  They are tactful and diplomatic, wanting to avoid unnecessary risk or trouble.  Yet, on the other hand, they may seem restless and discontented.  But most of the time, they are reliable, thorough, and sticklers for details.  Many times an Exhuberant Persuader will team up with a Perfectionist to tackle a tedious problem.

POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED

The perfectionist may spend too much time doing things themselves to be sure they are done right.  Fretting over little things and checking and re-checking details may get in the way of accomplishments. Their sense of obligation and efforts to please others may together lessen the satisfaction in efforts expended.

IN THE MONTHS TO COME, THESE LESSONS WILL CONTINUE TO CONCENTRATE ON FINDING YOUR PERSONALITY, YOUR TALENTS, AND TO LEARN HOW TO USE THOSE TALENTS IN SERVICE TO OTHERS.  i HOPE YOU WILL FIND THEM HELPFUL. — Sandra
